The end of the year.

We played the Assembly Rooms in Derby on Friday. It was strange as it was more a C Blows set rather than a Ghost Twins one. Same C Blows set-up, a few different songs. We covered White Light / White Heat by the Velvet Underground which was very enjoyable. We've set the release date for the album for March 25th. It'll be available digitally from then and the vinyl will be out a couple of weeks later. If we can get the vinyl out for the 25th that'd be great. There might be a backlog at the pressing plant though with Record Store Day being in April. We're also playing at The Chocolate Factory in Derby on March 28th. It's a Holy Smokes / Format night and Islet are headlining. It'll be our album launch. There will be more info soon.

Christmas Gig

We'll be playing our only gig before the release of the album in a couple of weeks time. Initially we weren't going to do anything for a while but our friends Lostalone asked us to open up their annual Derby Christmas gig. We did it last year and had a blast so we're opening a four band bill which includes Attention Thieves and again our buds Max Raptor. We should be doing something a little different for our set (we actually don't have a fucking clue what we're going to do) as we're still in the studio finishing the album. Cassette

The 'Unknown Animal / Dream on / Dream off' double A-side has been released on Cassette by Feliciano. The cassette is a 12 song split with our former-selves, Crushing Blows. The cassettes look lovely and are available from the Feliciano Big Cartel page here. They are also available directly from us at gigs.

Here is the video for Unknown Animal. Again, we've done the rounds with this one on Twitter, etc but it's got a nice stable home here. It was shot by Sam Jordan who was someone we wanted to work with for a while. We shot it at Deda Dance Studios in Derby with help from Lara Elizabeth Elliot. I figured posting about each element of the single separately would give more focus to that specific part rather than lumping everything together in one huge post. Next up: The Cassette.

Old News

We released our first single as Ghost Twins about four or five weeks ago. So this isn't exactly 'news' but certainly worth posting about. It was released by Snug Recording Company and is a digital double A-side. It's available on our Bandcamp Page for £1 and also available on the usual digital outlets (iTunes, Amazon, etc). We would always recommend downloading it via Bandcamp. The soundcloud streams are below.

Intro

Hello. Welcome to the Ghost Twins website/blog. We've been pretty quiet online recently as we've been recording our debut album over the last few months. I'd say we're about 3/4 of the way through it now. Maybe a little less. However, we plan to have it wrapped it by the end of the year and are penciling in a March release. At the moment we're releasing it ourselves so because of finances, etc we can't 'officially' confirm a date. March is the plan though. Over the next week or so more content shall appear on here. It just seemed like a good idea to get some form of website/blog going now as things should hopefully begin picking up some steam.
